MuZ Motorcycle Replacement Batteries
|
MZ, and later MuZ, an acronym for Motoradd und Zweiradwerk, was a German brand that had produced 60,000 motorcycles by 1929. The RT125 model, which was a foundation of MZ success became patent free as a result of war reparations after WWII, and was further developed by BSA, Harley and Moskva (Russia). Though ending up on the wrong side of the wall after the war, or perhaps because of it, MuZ became the most produced German motorcycle, building its 2 millionth motorcycle by 1983. As a communist, state owned company the company did well but when released to private ownership after reforms in East Germany, quickly went into receivership and sold into parts. Bought and sold several times, MuZ is rumored to be nearing production once again in the late 2000’s. |
