SFR D-Sol Oil Fortifier Benefits and Advantages

D-SOL by SFR is a multi-functional synthetic fortifier engineered for all diesel engines.

Unlike off-the-shelf fortifiers and engine treatments, which usually contain chlorinated paraffin’s, moly, or PTFE resins, SFR has patented a new technology that dramatically improves the performance of motor oils.

Used in combination with your present motor oil whether mineral or synthetic, it greatly reduces friction and can increase the life or your engine. This includes engines that are mobile or stationary.

Since 1987 SFR has been recognized as the world leader in automotive, commercial, industrial, marine, and agricultural oil fortifiers. SFR products are distributed through a network of distributors and dealers located on most all of the continents.

What is SFR? First let me tell you what SFR D-SOL does not contain: PTFE (Teflon), moly, graphite, lead, high sulfur content or carcinogens. About 90% of the additives on the market can’t say that. SFR is a concentrated complex of chemicals mixed in the oil. Many of these chemicals are similar to those found in oils today. SFR goes a step beyond and uses higher quality chemistries; such as synthetics; than specified by your vehicle manufacturer. Engine and equipment manufacturers are not concerned about having oils made to cover potential disaster situations. SFR is not just a friction reducer but also a true oil fortifier. After all, there are many more conditions that oil must handle beyond friction.

D-SOL BENEFITS

Maximum Engine Life can be achieved by using D-SOL. Extensive testing reveals that engine life can be extended when using D-SOL with diesel motor oils. D-SOL, with its advanced synthetic formula utilizes the most effective and expensive additives available to reduce the effects of friction in an engine. D-SOL is a zinc free product safe for stationary diesels with silver alloys in bearings.

Costly downtime can be minimized through the use of D-SOL, and an ongoing oil analysis program. In almost all cases oil analysis testing at an independent laboratory will show a significant reduction in wear when using D-SOL with the correct motor oil for the engine. Systematic use of D-SOL can help eliminate unplanned downtime, which is the largest expense a company or operator must face in the course of business.

Extended drain intervals can be achieved due to D-SOL’s multi-functional synthetic formula. This is achieved with the aid of an inexpensive oil analysis program. This reduces the need for an oil change at a specific time or mileage, but based on the oil condition. This provides savings in the amount of motor oil that must be purchased, installed, and disposed of.

Severe-Duty Diesel Engine Service is what D-SOL has been formulated to meet. D-SOL was specifically engineered for high-speed diesel engines used in heavy duty-on-highway and off-highway use. D-SOL with its multi-functional synthetic formula provides effective control over high-temperature piston deposits, wear, corrosion, oxidation stability, foaming, idling, and soot accumulation. D-SOL was specifically formulated for low sulfur diesel fuels.

Will not void warranties as D-SOL has been tested safe for all diesel engines.

Applications: D-SOL can be used in diesel engines of all makes and types only. Not for use in gasoline engines.

Directions For Use: D-SOL readily mixes with all petroleum and synthetic diesel motor oils. It contains concentrated oil fortifiers and must be mixed with diesel motor oil with specifications for your engine. Recommended treat rate is 4 to 6 ounces of D-SOL per gallon by volume (US) or 120 to 180 ml of D-SOL per 4 liters (International) of diesel motor oil.

D-SOL or GASZOL The Huge Advantage

Oils we buy today do a fair job. However, when an engine is not started for 24 hours or more, most of the oil drains away from the parts that need its protection, and over 70% of engine wear is caused while moving parts wait for a new supply of oil when you start your engine.

All too often we pull up a hill on a hot day and something goes wrong in the cooling system (clutch or electric fan, hose, drive belt, thermostat, etc.). The oil is already hot from pulling up the hill, and you are usually less than a minute from irreversible engine damage, not so with SFR D-Sol and GASZOL.

Owners of turbocharged engines need all the help they can get in preventing premature turbo failures, SFR D-Sol and GASZOL is there to help.

If diesel or gasoline dilutes your oil or if antifreeze contaminates it, this leads to engine failure. With SFR you have a margin of protection. High load and stress areas such as camshaft, valve guides, and timing chains are protected from excess wear and premature failure. SFR D-Sol and GASZOL provides a margin of protection that your oil does not provide.

Let’s talk about the myth that adding something to your oil could void your warranty. This is incorrect! Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, and general principles of the Federal Trade Commission Act, a manufacturer may not require the use of any brand of oil, oil additive package, brand of filter or any other part, unless the manufacturer provides the item free of charge under the terms of the warranty. If you check your warranty booklet you will find wording such as ”MAY void warranty.” or “additives are not recommended”. If you are told anything that contradicts what you find in your warranty booklet, ask for it in writing. Let me preface this with my opinion. Use the grade and viscosity of oil required by the owner’s manual. Use only top quality oil filters, and be very careful in selecting an additive.

Once again, be very careful in selecting a lubrication additive. Most reduce friction, but they have potential negative effects. Most friction reduction products contain solids, resins, high sulfur content, heavy metals, etc. and are not completely compatible with today’s engine oils. This is a reason the manufacturers ask you not to use additives. Most of these additive companies make false or totally outrageous claims, and it is very expensive to disprove the claims made.

Equipment manufacturers are aware that truly good lubrication additives do exist; however, they know it is not in their best interest to ask the oil companies to improve lubrication packages beyond a certain point. Keep in mind if you are not spending money on parts and service, this affects their profits. If you and I double the life of an engine, transmission, generator, etc., we save money and the manufacturers lose. If it were in their best interest, today’s oils we buy would be better quality lubricants. After all, the technology has arrived.

For continued maximum benefit, treat your oil with SFR D-Sol or GASZOL at every oil change. Be aware that so-called one-time or 50,000-mile, etc. engine treatments are restricted in their results, because they are not replenished as they are used. Thus, these products don’t provide 100% protection 100% of the time.

After a 5,000-mile break-in period on gas engines and 8,000 miles on diesel engines, it is time to add SFR. We have all heard the old saying, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure?” This certainly applies to the use of SFR in your lubrication systems. What does it cost? Computing fuel savings from the use of SFR will result in an immediate savings: therefore, the long-term effects and benefits of increased equipment life, reliability and disaster protection. Costs absolutely nothing! It’s Free!
