Plenty of Kick, Nov 27, 2012Ownership: Use regularly Knowledge Level: AC/DC is more than a band Pros: This battery was a GREAT enhancement, not only over the stock battery but also over another recommended brand which cost more. Running it on a Heritage Softail Classic, and it fits well, starts well, even in the cold. Cons: With these guys, none. Wasn't at the top of the list for the Heritage Softail Classic, but probably should be. Other Thoughts: Looks like a Jap name, as I remember it from the Honda days 40 years ago, but it's USA, and that counts, these days.

Cons: Being universal connections created a minor hassle for me hooking up. Other Thoughts: **NOTE from BatteryStuff** The proper Harley Davidson replacement battery is the hYTX20DHL. This has the correct terminal design for your bike.
best buy, May 18, 2012By Holeshot 308 Ownership: Just Bought Knowledge Level: Genius is my way of life Pros: Bought this to replace the previous "Scorpion" AGM from "BatteryStuff". The Scorpion was about three years old and would still crank the Kawasaki ZG-1000 up but seemed to take more riding to keep it charged. The new battery came with some greatly improved terminal connection hardware like BIG terminal nuts versus the old thin style that were a pain in the ass to line up and get the bolts started in. BIG IMPROVEMENT!! Put the new battery on the charger before installing it and after less than 30 minutes the charge indicator showed it at full charge. Drop in fit and with the new style nuts only took around 10 minutes to install. Cons: The bolts for the terminals could stand to be a little longer. They would have worked ok if I only had to put the stock leads on. I've added a few accessories that needed to mount at the terminals and had to leave the star washer off to get the bolts to screw into the new nuts. Other Thoughts: Great service and quick shipping(plus it's FREE!). REALLY liked the new style hardware, always had problems in the past stripping out the thin style nuts and you just can't run down to the hardware store for replacements ( ALWAYS HAD A PROBLEM WITH JUST WANTING TO GET THAT LAST 1/4 OF A TURN ON STUFF!!) BTW, the "old" scorpion wasn't as bad as I thought because it's showing a full charge on the "Optimate" charger. Had it load tested and it's still good. Oh well, guess you can never have to many batteries.

Received the battery in just a couple of days...fully charged and ready to go...no nasty acid to add...just popped it in and hit the ignition button bringing the beast instantly to life! Cons: None Other Thoughts: I use the YTX20HL-BS in my 1999 UltraCycle with the 113 c.i. S&S Super Stock engine. I need full-tilt cranking power to turn that beast over and the YTX20HL-BS is always up for the job. If you have a high compression motor with no compression release like mine..this may be the battery for you as well, assuming it fits in the battery holder. |
