Overview

The IOTA DLS-27-25/IQ4 is a 24v 25 Amp converter/charger power supply with an integrated IQ4 smart controller. The DLS-27-25/IQ4 can be used as a charger/converter to charge a battery or as a power supply with or without batteries.

The IOTA DLS-27-25/IQ4 features tight line/load control, allowing the DLS series units to convert AC power into steady, clean DC power. By preventing erratic DC output, the DLS-27-25/IQ4 is suitable for powering sensitive equipment and prevents damage or equipment shutdown from unexpected overloads.

The DLS-27-25/IQ4 features an integrated IQ4 module delivering a 4-stage smart charging profile, which includes a Bulk, Absorption, Float, and Equalization stage:

The DLS-27-25/IQ4’s Bulk stage outputs 29.6 volts at the charger's full-rated output to reduce charging time. The charger then progresses to the Absorption stage, which lowers the output voltage to 28.4 volts for a controlled period to ensure a full and complete charge.

Once fully charged, the IOTA DLS-27-25/IQ4 switches to a Float stage, outputting 27.2 volts to trickle charge and maintain the battery. This stage is designed to maintain the battery’s fully charged state while avoiding overcharging and gassing of the battery pack.

The final Equalization stage is only initiated if the charger is in float mode for seven days. At that point, the charger will re-initiate the charge sequence to dissolve sulfation and avoid stratification.

The IOTA DLS series converter chargers use switch mode technology, which minimizes energy waste by reducing high dissipation states. This allows the DLS-27-25/IQ4 to perform reliably and efficiently in a compact chassis with lower operating temperatures.
