NOCO 12v BatterySaver iMob 2.2 Watt Solar Charger ISC175
Product Description

IMob 2.2 watt Solar Battery Maintainer

This is an excellent battery maintainer that will keep a battery topped off when the vehicle is not in use. We recommend the BatterySaver SE for most standard automobile battery applications, SUV, Light Truck, Van, etc.

If you’ve ever been caught with a dead car battery, you know the inconvenience, cost, and danger it can cause.

BatterySaver SE will constantly replenish your car’s battery by sending a maintenance-level charge to the battery of your vehicle. Uses male lighter adapter to plug in to your vehicle, or includes alligator clips as well. Lighter adapter use requires a lighter socket/power port that works with the key out of the vehicle. New design is safe for outdoor installation.

Features
  • 2.2 watt rated power at 15 volts operating voltage
  • Connects in seconds via male lighter adapter
  • Includes alligator clips also
  • Provides constant maintenance-level charge
  • 8 Foot output cable with 1 Foot connector leads
  • Works year round, even under light overcast conditions
  • Never overcharges
  • Extends battery life
  • Built-in reverse current protection; can't discharge your battery

Best thing for my mustang parked at my condo, Apr 16, 2012
Ownership: Use regularly   Knowledge Level: AC/DC is more than a band

Pros: I bought this because I was tired of my battery in my 93 mustang 5.0 being dead every time I went to use it. It is my just for fun car and only gets used once every couple months. I now have this suctioned to my back window and running to the battery in the trunk and it works perfect. I use trickle charges on my atv as well but it is in a garage with a plug...my mustang sits in a parking spot at my condo and there is no acess to a plug anywhere near it. Problem solved!

Cons: suction cups do not stick all that great to the hot glass of the florida sun in the car. Wish it would have come with the o ring terminals attachment like my plug in trickle charges do instead of the alligator clamps....they tend to come loose after some spirited driving and I have to double check them before plugging in the solar charger after every ride.

Other Thoughts: Looks like a much more expensive charger than what i actually paid for it!

Great little charger, Dec 23, 2011
By DNWord   Ownership: Just Bought   Knowledge Level: Electricity doesn't scare me.. usually

Pros: I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey that I don't drive that far or often, and have been through two batteries because of all the on-board electronics that drain power while it sits. This trickle charger was inexpensive, is unobtrusive where it plugs into the dash, and allows me to park the car for more than a week at a time and still start it right up (something I had not been able to do before).

Cons: I did pay a shop to install the charger, since my Odyssey's cigarette lighter adapter is not active when the key is out of the ignition. The biggest drawback is I have to remember to unplug it before starting the car, or risk damaging the charger. It's plugged in from the dash, though, so at least I don't have to open the hood and disconnect at the battery.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't have minded paying more money for a more seamless charger that could remain connected to the battery even while the car is operating.

small solar maintainer, Sep 08, 2011
By Jeremy   Ownership: I've thought about naming it...   Knowledge Level: AC/DC is more than a band

Pros: small size makes it ideal for placing in dashboard of my jeep

Cons: none yet, it is small, but then again its supposed to be

Other Thoughts: I like the way it works, and it is very simple to hook up and use. my jeep is in the sun a lot, so this takes the worry out of keeping my battery up when i'm not driving

   solar charger, Aug 21, 2011
Ownership: Don't Own   Knowledge Level: Electricity doesn't scare me.. usually

Pros: looks like a good idea

Cons: controls are concerns

Other Thoughts: what controls it from over charging ?????? *NOTE by Batterystuff.com: This solar charger does not need a controller as it is only 2.2 watts, and is incapable of overcharging a vehicle such as it is meant to be installed on.
