The Brain Wash

We have been dumbed and numbed by manufactures and advertisers via all types of media. I have been told at least 100 times during my preventive maintenance seminars that if a fuel or oil additive were used it would void the manufacturers warranty. Where does it say this? Well, in 7 years, no one has come forward to show in print that the use of an additive used anywhere will void a warranty!

The language used in an owner's manual is very carefully crafted to lead us to believe that if we use anything other than what the dealer sells we will void the warranty. What the Law says is very important. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, and the general principles of the Federal Trade Commission, a manufacturer may not require the use of any brand of oil, oil additive package, brand of oil filter or any other part, unless the manufacturer provides the item free of charge under the terms of the warranty.

We are dealing with some of the same corporations that said some 45 years ago that an engine oil filter was not necessary. Who do you listen to, the service manager, mechanic, retired maintenance supervisor? All of these people have some expertise but is it current and does it go beyond a corporate philosophy? When you hear what I have to say it may be different. Why? Because I collect my information from all sources; vehicle manufactures, maintenance experts, scientific data, product manufacturers, educational organizations, and you the end user.

The products I have selected for you to purchase are the best to my knowledge. If you feel that a product we offer does not perform as we have told you, pack it up, send it back with the receipt and we will return your full purchase price.
