Tips and Tricks | Stay Cool in the Hot Summer Sun

Posted on July 6, 2011
Is it just me, or is it hot outside? Remember, motorcycle and ATV batteries can be damaged by extreme heat. If you can, keep your vehicles and batteries in the cool of the shade or indoors whenever possible. If you have a wet-cel or traditional flooded battery, please remember to check the fluid levels regularly. If they're low, just top them off with distilled water. Do not use tap water as this contains debris and elements that will ruin the chemistry of the electroylte. Be safe. Ride well. And remember to have a great summer! read more...

Robin's Corner | How to Determine the Size of Your Solar System

Posted on February 10, 2012
I am going to put in a solar system and I need to know what all I need for this project. The solar will have to operate a Refrigerator, washer, lights, TV, PC, and a power tool or two. Then know this; in order to accurately size your solar system, we need the following information:
1. The amount of Draw that each device in your system uses. It is usually listed on the back of the unit near the power input and will be rated in volts (V), amps (A), or watts (W).
2. The amount of sun hours in your area (Direct sunlight)
3. The amount of hours each device in your system will be running in a 24 hour period. read more...

BatteryStuff Motto | We Have the Stuff

Posted on May 30, 2012
For starters, we sell batteries (as the name suggests). We’ve got batteries for motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, UPS systems, power tools, lawn mowers, and many more applications. We’ve got small lithium CR123 batteries for cameras, AA NiMH batteries for small electronics, sealed lead acid batteries for mobility scooters/wheelchairs, and large deep cycle batteries for storage and off-grid systems. Okay, so maybe you don’t need a new battery, but if you own any of these temperamental things you may want to know how to maintain them, and we got you covered there too. Let’s run through our other categories, and I’m sure there will be something just for you! read more...
