BatteryStuff.com spent the weekend in Goldendale, Washington at the "24 hours at Starvation Ridge" This race turned into a real survival ride, with 100+ teams starting the race, and about 40 finishing. Mud, rain, ruts, more mud, and lots of fun! If you have ever ridden anywhere near Goldendale, you would know that the mud seen in this photo, once dried, is about as hard as concrete, and tough to remove. read more...
With the arrival of Spring to at least most of the USA, we see a major increase in the number of batteries leaving our warehouse to be installed in all brands and types of Powersports applications. While we at BatteryStuff.com appreciate the ‘crazy season’, it always amazes me how many batteries give up the ghost over the long winter. Mostly this is due to poor, or nonexistent maintenance procedures. With the cost of commodities on the rise purchasing a new smart charger is currently one of the best investments you can make, certainly more than money in the bank! read more...

One of our own is out riding with Legendary off-road racer, Shane Watts! (Shane's the one on the left). Rain or shine, these fellas ride all day long! Let's give 'em a cheer! Shane Watts grew up in a small country town in the state of Victoria. He progressed through club level racing to the national championship and then spent three years chasing the World Enduro Championship in Europe. Every year for the past 3 years, BatteryStuff has had the opportunity to be the title sponsor for the MRA Cross Country Motorcycle Race. This year it was known as the “Make it or Break it" race, and was held on MRA property near Jacksonville, OR. The promoters decided to utilize local property rather than holding the event in the central Oregon Desert as they had the past couple years. With the change in format came a change in name. Formerly the Fort Rock Enduro, the newly named ‘Make it or Break it XC’ lived up to its moniker. read more...
Fit and finish are what you would expect from KTM, which is just as good or better than anything else out there right now. My old Husaberg was clearly designed by engineers. Yes, it was a great bike, and until now my favorite (despite the bitter parting we had at the end) to ride. Definitely designed to perform well, but without thought of actually working on the thing. The 2012 KTM is a different bag. They seem to have taken the best from the Husaberg as far as performance, improved upon it even, and added in the bonus of a very service friendly design. read more...

But man, that sort of chop leads to some seriously sore derriere. Today, I have that ‘Ima gonna be sore tomorrow feelin’, and a real ‘shot out of a cannon’ look to my eyes.
But, you came here for a race report, so here she goes. read more...
