Overview
The ProMariner 53243 is a ProTournament240 Elite Series3 24-amp 3-bank waterproof marine smart charger. The 53243 features three 12V outputs meant to connect four individual 12V batteries.
The ProTournament240 Elite Series3 chargers feature a 5-stage charging process that includes an analysis stage, charging stage, conditioning stage, auto-maintenance stage, and a storage reconditioning stage.
ProTournament240 Elite Series3 chargers feature Distribute-On-Demand charging. This allows the 53243 to distribute the 24-amps between all of the banks. This means that if one bank doesn’t require that much amperage, it can distribute the available amperage to another bank, up to 18 amps down a single bank, if necessary!
The ProMariner 53243 features a Charge Status AC Glow plug that lets you know if the charger is Charging, Conditioning, or Auto Maintaining the batteries. ProTournament240 Series3 chargers feature a Tri-Surface Aluminum Heat Sink, Dual Function Battery Status Monitor, and a 5-Year Warranty!
Typical installation:
Each bank outputs 12 volts meant for individual 12v batteries no larger than a group 31 battery (approximately 130 AH). The ProMariner 53243 can be used for three 12v banks, one 24v battery bank*, or one 36v battery bank*. Another popular installation is for a 12-volt trolling motor battery and two 12v starting motor batteries.
*Typical installation is for a 24-volt & 36-volt series system is only for applications using 12v batteries. This charger only has 12v outputs, so it is not compatible for a single 24v or 36v battery.
Note: Recommended for Group 24-31 Batteries. Not for 4D or 8D Group Size Batteries.*ProMariner has approved this charger to work with specific LiFePO4 batteries. You can access the approved list under the manual section on this product page.
