Overview
The Schauer Charge Master JAC0724-R is a 24v 7-amp automatic battery charger with a quick disconnect ring connections harness. The JAC0724-R (0891-61) is a 3-stage smart charger that charges sealed lead acid, AGM, gel, or flooded batteries.
The JAC0724-R features many built-in protections, such as short circuit, over-voltage, and over-current protections.
Stage 1: Constant Current Mode (CC)
The charger changes to a constant current of 7.0 A. When the battery voltage reaches 29.2 V, the charging stage changes from (CC) Constant Current to CV (Constant Voltage) mode.
Stage 2: Constant Voltage Mode (CV)
The charger holds the battery at 29.2 V, and the current slowly reduces. The moment the current reaches 0.5 C (C= Battery Capacity), is called the Switching Point. The Switching Point is one of the great features of this battery charger in that it can adjust the current automatically according to the battery capacity. Other chargers without microprocessors are not capable of adjusting the current automatically.
Stage 3: Standby Voltage Mode
The charger maintains the battery voltage at 27.0 V, and the current slowly reduces to zero. The charger can be left connected indefinitely without harming the battery.
This charger ships with ring-type connectors, allowing customers to adapt it to their needs.
