Overview
The ProMariner 53244 is a ProTournament240 Elite Series3 24-amp 4-bank waterproof marine smart charger. The 53244 features four 12V outputs meant to connect four individual 12V batteries.
The ProTournament240 Elite Series3 chargers feature a 5-stage charging process that includes an analysis stage, charging stage, conditioning stage, auto-maintenance stage, and a storage reconditioning stage.
ProTournament240 Elite Series3 chargers feature Distribute-On-Demand charging. This allows the 53244 to distribute the 24-amps between all of the banks. This means that if one bank doesn’t require that much amperage, it can distribute the available amperage to another bank, up to 18 amps down a single bank, if necessary!
The ProMariner 53244 features a Charge Status AC Glow plug that lets you know if the charger is Charging, Conditioning, or Auto Maintaining the batteries. ProTournament240 Series3 chargers feature a Tri-Surface Aluminum Heat Sink, Dual Function Battery Status Monitor, and a 5-Year Warranty!
Typical installation:
Each bank outputs 12 volts, which is meant for individual 12v batteries no larger than a group 31 battery (approximately 130 AH). The ProMariner 53244 can be used for four 12v banks, two 24v battery banks, or one 36v or 48v battery bank. Typical installation is for a 36-volt series system using three 12v batteries for a trolling motor and an additional bank for a starting 12v battery. Another popular installation is for a 24-volt system using two 12v batteries for a trolling motor, leaving two 12v banks for starting batteries.
