By 1971 the /5 series of BMW motorcycle had been firmly set in the hearts and minds of enthusiasts as one of the best motorcycles of the day.  The four-stroke, two cylinder, horizontally opposed engine known as the “Boxer” engine, one of the most noticeably unique characteristics of the BMW, was known for its reliability everywhere.  19701 saw the original design of the R75/5 in its final year before some major changes were brought to this classic motorcycle.
