1973 BMW 600cc R60/5 Motorcycle Batteries
In 1973 BMW pulled the plug officially on the /5 series and began the /6. They did run production of the R60/5 all the way through the year and made some changes as well. Because of the feedback on the “toaster tank” styling they offered the R60/5 without the chrome side panels. They also extended the rear swing arm by 50mm, although it was a mid year change and not every bike had it extended. While 1973 saw the end of one classic, it also saw the beginning of the next, the /6.
