1973 BMW 750cc R75/6 Motorcycle Batteries
While 1973 saw the end of one legend, it birthed another. The R75/5 had developed quite a following by the time it was terminated in 1973 and BMW new that they had to come up with a bike that was at least a good as its predecessor to keep enthusiasts happy. The R75/6 was the answer. At a real 745cc, the boxer engine put out a solid 50 horse power and squeezed and extra 2 mph out of its top speed at 110 mph. Even though it was minimally faster, it also accelerated minimally slower at 6.7 seconds to 62 mph compared to 6.4 on the /5. The real accomplishment with the /6 was a new platform of motorcycle to expand upon. The R75/6 launched in 1973, but it wasn’t until later years that the real changes started coming.
